TAASA is situated approximately 5 kilometers (3 miles) from Kleins Gate, to the North East of the Serengeti National Park.

TAASA has the unique benefit of being situated on a Wildlife Manage Area. This allows for exclusive safari experiences.

In addition, we can easily enter the Serengeti and visit the Mara river depending on migration activity.  This dramatically increases our guests game viewing experiences versus other lodges.which can't offer both private and national park access.

where is taasa located?

TAASA is a 30 minute drive from the Lobo airstrip, accessed by light aircraft via daily scheduled flights from Arusha.

For those connecting in Europe we recommend traveling from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS) to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO).

Most guests choose to overnight in Arusha before taking the short flight (1.5 hours) to the Lobo Airstrip. Some guests choose to connect via Jomo Kenyata International Airport in Nairobi (NBO) before flying to Arusha.

what are the visa and passport requirements?

Visitors to Tanzania from most countries require a visa prior to entry. Although you may be able to obtain a visa on arrival at Dar es Salaam and Kilimanjaro airports or at the Namanga Gate on the Kenyan border, we recommend obtaining a visa prior to leaving your country of origin. Guests planning to travel to other countries in the region should consider applying for a multiple entry visa.

Passports are required and must be valid for six months beyond the intended length of stay. Please ensure that there are at least two blank pages in your passport for visas as well as for entry stamps upon arrival.

what are the vaccination requirements?

We advise you to consult with your local physician and your travel coordinator as to what countries you will be visiting and what best suites your travel needs.

when is the best time to visit?

There’s no one ‘best time’ to visit TAASA as each season provides its own distinct advantages. The ‘dry’ season from June through October makes for easier game viewing as animals tend to concentrate around rivers and watering holes. The ‘green’ season from November to May is the time for lush, verdant scenery.  Wildlife is abundant all year round.
