RESERVING YOUR SPOT

Please email Elizabeth@roanetravel.com to inquire about joining the trip. Please include your name, email address, phone number and how many people you plan on traveling with. 

We will get back to you on a first come first serve basis to confirm your spot.

Upon confirmation, 1/3 of the total trip cost is due. The second 1/3 is due 60 days prior to departure, and the final 1/3 is due 30 days prior to departure. 

CANCELLATION POLICY & COVID-19

Due to the nature of the group trip, after booking the trip, no refunds can be offered. Once you have made your initial deposit, Roane Travel Design will send you an insurance quote which we highly recommend purchasing.

If the group expedition is cancelled or you are not able to travel due to COVID-19, TAASA Lodge will issue a credit voucher to be used towards a trip to TAASA Lodge in the future. Rebooking is subject to availability and must be used within 1 year of intended date of travel.

ARRIVING: KILIMANJARO, TANZANIA (JRO)

AIRPORT

The airport in Tanzania that you will be flying to is located in Arusha/Kilimanjaro (Airport Code: JRO)

TRANSPORTATION

From the time you land, to the time you depart, TAASA Lodge and Roane Travel Design will arrange all of your transfers. No need to worry about taxis, rental cars or public transportation.

TRAVEL VISAS

ALL NON-EAST AFRICAN CITIZENS

Tourist travel visas are included in your overall price. You will work with Roane Travel Design/ TAASA Lodge and they will apply for your visas ahead of time. Upon arrival in Tanzania, your visas will be ready.

WEATHER

Weather at TAASA is usually brisk in the mornings and evenings, but very warm during the days, so layering is very important!

VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS

Tanzania does NOT require any shots to enter the country. With that being said, we do recommend checking with your primary care physician to see what they recommend. Sometimes they recommend a Yellow Fever vaccine, but note this is NOT required or encouraged by the CDC unless you are flying though Kenya.
